The BIMA at Fundacion Pardes was made with disused books that belonged to the congregation. In the ancient times, religious books were placed between the bricks of the houses, since a book containing the name of God can not be thrown away. These books are treasured in a Gueniza, which means “hidden light”. Each Jewish cemetery has a Geniza. With the concept that “study sustains the studying”, i was created this BIMA-GNIZA.
